French keyboard here: digits are not direct (they are
shifted). We are used to unconfortable, impossible, non-
sensical and sometimes unmodifiable shortcuts set by qwerty-only
programmers ;o)
For some applications, adding Shift to all digit shortcurts
does the trick (well, except for the shortcuts that already use
Shift). For others, nothing works. It depends at what level
the application gets the keys, whether it checks the modifiers
separately, etc.

  In Leocad in particular:
– <digit-key> does nothing,
— Shift-<digit-key> behaves as <digit> should,
— Ctrl-Shift-<digit-key> does nothing.

If I try to reassign the digit keybindings, it doesn’t work.
For example, the key with 8 is _ (underscore).
If I type _ in the field, _ is shown. Typing _ does nothing.
If I type Shift-_ in the field, Shift-8 is shown. Typing
Shift-_ does nothing. I can’t type Shift-8!
If I type Ctrl-Shift-_ in the field, Ctrl-Shift-8 is shown.
Typing Ctrl-Shift-_ does nothing. I can’t type Ctrl-Shift-8!

Other shortcuts (letters or others, like Ins or Del) work.
