There will be plenty of opportunity to help! We were waiting until we had a
relatively complete subset that would:
- compile and run without obviously breaking anything
- allow people to critique/suggest architectural improvements
- provide examples on how it could be extended
For example, we left the text field widget as an exercise for the brave... ;-)
The architecture at this point includes a GTK theme converter and a very
basic pixmap based engine. Merging the two for on-the-fly pickup of themes
would be nice. Support for additional theme engines would also be welcome!
We are also prepared to do a complete rewrite with the help others once
people have a chance to review the architecture and point out its shortcomings.
So this is just the 0.1 release, nothing more.
