FWIW, I've "temporized" on the systemd support issue, but have something
that lets me proceed. I'm leaving "placeholders" in my LFS build
scripts with a few paragraphs that explain that those packages were
there to support systemd, not needed for the LFS default SysV, but may
be installed if needed with the BLFS packages. If I change my mind
later, I'll be able to drop in build scripts without upsetting my
sequencing of things. I realize that, for example, tar would have to be
rebuilt after attr was installed. It's a compromise, but I should still
get a usable, compatible, single-user version of 7.7.
