*I* don't have much of a problem with him. But he isn't exactly what one would call a celebrity. Or celebrity enough to get media attention.
I think we are talking about two different things here. The thread started asking about a republican POTUS candidate. In my last post I was talking about RP running for his last term as a LP candidate. I will reiterate, a republican with libertarian principles will get nowhere unless he is a bonafide celebrity. Think Clint Eastwood, Jesse Ventura, etc. A Gary Johnson or Jeff Flake for POTUS will get as much media support as Pierre DuPont did. Good credible candidates, for sure. But they are also rans.
