Only a few companies were given the opportunity to profit from the
war in Vietnam and Iraq. The government contracts only a few
companies. That is not capitalism. The economic system in the U.S.
is not capitalism. It never has been. Even immediately after the
American Revolution although in many ways it close, the U.S. was not
a capitalist economy. Absolute socialism or communism has also as
far as I know not existed. The USSR was not by Marx's definition a
communist system. There were 2 classes in the USSR, the government
class and everyone else.
