Yes, but my point was only an example. It does not matter if USA is a Christian country or not. The matter are the higher human values that people as the nation hold. And the nation is only as great as its values. Anna ----- Original Message ----- From: Edward J. Who cares if it is a Christian mission or not. On a Libertarian board there is no acknowledgement of the US having a Christian mission. Christianity or any religion has no place in the Constitution or government, nor is it even relevent. WE are not, nor were, and as long as there is an ounce of strength flowing through my veins, will the US ever be a "christian" nation, nor have a 'Christian' mission. The United States of America is not and never was a Christian nation, no matter how much fanatics claim it is. It is not the responsibility or scope of our government, nor its Constitutional mandate to go on Christian missions. I am not a Christian, so that mission is not even germane to the discussion. The government exists solely to protect the natural rights that each person is born with that does not include the right to be taken care of, because there is no such right! --- In [email protected], "Anna" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Is a Christian model of mercy no longer practiced? > Anna > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Deus Ex Machina > To: [email protected] > Sent: Friday, November 18, 2005 6:12 AM > Subject: Re: [Libertarian] Re: the truth.... > > > Anna [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > Ok, but what will you do then about the poor and the parasites?
