If the reason to obey the dead person's wishes is the fact the he was once alive, that means that a fetus being alive should be also under the same protection of the law. What decides here is BEING ALIVE at certain point in time. Yet, here we have a case of a fetus being alive too, but you refuse to give it the same protection as you give to a deceased person on the same basis.
