David, honestly. If you had graduated from Yale and Harvard, served as a Fighter Pilot in the Air Force Reserves, been Governor of Texas for 6 years, owner of a major league baseball team, and President of the US for 4 years, would you think it'd be fair to invite someone to debate you, who never held elective office, never finished college, never served in the military, and never established himself in any meaningful way in the businesse world?
Do credentials count for anything with you at all? I mean inviting Nadar, yeah. The guy's got a heluva background. Even Ron Paul, Libertarian or even former state legislator Andre Marrou, Libertarian, maybe? If you had nominated Ed Thompson, the media would have had a field day with that - former Mayor, professional boxer, and brother of HUD Secretary Tommy Thompson. It would have been very difficult for Bush to evade inviting Ed Thompson to the debates. But you did not. You went for the most obscure, unqualified candidate you could find. --- In [email protected], "David Macko" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > The people of the United States have experienced "experienced" leaders for > over ninety years.
