I know that we're trying to be cynical, but at times we just can't up! :(
Some of the SDI research folk I knew told me that at least some of the stuff they were developing seemed to have NOTHING to do with the public representation about SDI. Particle beam weapons being developed would be WORTHLESS when firing at a missle thru Earth's atmosphere.
