When Ronald Reagan became president in 1981 the federal budget was $680 billion. When he left office in 1989 the federal budget was $1.14 trillion -- an increase of 67%.
You can claim he cut taxes all you like, but that's BS. He just passed the bills onto the next administration and forced George H.W. Bush to pass the largest tax increase in the history of America up 'till that time.
