Terry, I didn't say that you intended that. In fact Mark is the one with
that brilliant suggestion, not you.

What DO I want to see happen? Well, how about we don't take a penny from the
mouths of anyone. How about we just keep our promises. I think we should
find the funding from money about to allocated from say the billion a week
spent in Iraq. Or by having the money actually SENT applied TO the people of
White Mesa's best interest. Or we could perhaps build one less aircraft
carrier. Any one of those things would fund the guarantees to the White Mesa
Ute for a few hundred years.

If we REALLY want to do something, we can fund them for 50 more years and
put some money into real TRAINING and provide OPPORTUNITIES. See, these
people aren't beaten yet, they DO step up when the opportunity presents
itself. So say we set them up in a business producing ANYTHING the
government buys...and then, instead of letting Halliburten provide that at a
price set by HALLIBURTEN, we let White Mesa take a shot at the bid and give
it to them if it is less. That way we all come out ahead.

How about the government requires Utah to spend the federal money
appropriated for public transportation to use it FOR public
transportation...not to upgrade the buses in Salt Lake City or Provo, but in
the area with NO public transportation like the southeast portion of the
state? That way if people WANTED to get off the reservation and get a job
they could DO that!

PROVIDE THE TRAINING, OPPORTUNITY AND THE MEANS AND PEOPLE WILL TAKE
ADVANTAGE OF IT.

Those are just a few ideas,
