To be a member of the Libertarian Party, one must sign a pledge "I oppose
the use of force or fraud to achieve social, economic, or political goals".

Every plank of the LP Platform conforms to this axiom.

Because of this, most of us believe that any money the government has was
stolen from it's (rightful) original owners. This means that most
government programs are immoral for this reason.

In practice, does this mean that we oppose a persons right to reclaim what
was stolen from him? For the most part, no. Because a person was forced at
gunpoint to "donate" to the IRS (try not paying your taxes), that person
should have the an equal right to try to get at least some of it back. Same
goes for Social Security or most any other government subdivision.

Much has been written on libertarianism far more eloquently than I can put
it. My own favorite sites are www.fff.org , www.mises.org , www.antiwar.com
. I hope this helps.
