No it is not intiation of force, no one is forced to belong to the LP
and a non LP member still can vote for a LIbertarian CAnadate in the
general election. Actually I think the one primary list idea which
may be a treferedum on the Oregon ballot would be a better idea and
help take power away from parties especially the two big parties, I
hope it wopuld force the parties to have their conventions before the
primary thus losers could run as an independent but I think a party
as a free association has a right to keep its politicans in check and
it is a good idea to do so, it helps with their branded market appeal
for the voter to know that a party will not tolerate a party cadiate
or office holder doing certain things, it helps put politicans in
their place, an open one list primary with the two with the most
votes going to the general election would help put the parties in
their place even the LP with its very small minority picking the
parties presidential runner, a majority of party members or even a
vast majority may have perfered one of the other guys over Badnarik
with an open one list primary and the convention held before the
primary the could have voted easily for one of the other two guys.---
