Yes! In fact, that is exactly what did happen in the case of Pancho Villa. The US launched the Punitive Expedition to chase Villa around the mountains. They never did catch him, though. It was like George Bush' expedition to catch bin Laden, (and bring back his head on a pike".) Pancho Villa eventually made peace with the Mexican government, kept his commission as Generalisimo del Norte, and now they name taquerias in his honor. Israel, on the other hand, is not chasing bandits; the Israeli army is destroying Lebanon. 500,000 people have fled their homes! The Israeli air force bombed Beirut International Airport! They have destroyed bridges, houses, even service stations. Hundreds of civilians, woman and children, have died under Israeli bombs. And they are still attacking.
