So, by your logic, if some renegade group of Outlaw Pancho Villa 
style drug-running paramilitary Mexicans in Nuevo Laredo or Juarez 
or Nogales, crossed the border one night and murdered 8 Border 
Agents or National Guardsman, and kidnapped 2 others, and took them 
back across the border to their Military Fortress, while the Mexican 
Government just sat back in Mexico City impotent, and not expressing 
a willingness to act, it would be "equally the fault of the United 
States and Mexico"?

Is that about right?

Why blame the Pancho Villas?  Right?  Surely, the Americans provoked 
it.  Doesn't matter that the Mexicans attacked first?  Right?  Both 
are equally guilty.  

Ahh yes, the blame American First Crowd.  Aren't they just dandy?
