I'm not thrilled with the way he acted on some very big
constitutional issues and i'm not sure he would have been better than
Washington, plus I don't like the fact that both of them were
slaveowners. I doubt if I would have wanted any slave
owner.
I don't know much about him but what about Smauel ADams? Or
what about Ethan Allen? or Paul Revere? Were they still alive and
doing well, did either hold political office after the revolution and
how well did they
do?
I probably would have favored a native son, since TN. was not a
state yet, probably someone from the hills of NC, SC, VA. or GA. a
non slave owning farmer and distiller someone who have fought hard
against the liquor tax and other excise taxes.--- In
