Personally, I think the real problem isn't CVS access, it's the high
cost of communication. I'm sure most of us would love to be working on
all of the Jakarta products, but, well, we have lives.
Long term, what we are starting here may be the real solution. Build the
packages first, and then build products out of the packages -- and let
developers choose whether to follow a few bananas, or subscribe to the
whole bunch.
Which is what I think Duncan meant when he said "It would be better to
factor out what we can into bite size parts and drive coordination down
into those pieces."
