            Bug ID: 171096
Summary: When importing a (textual format) column as text - it
should be cell-formatted as Text, nor General
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.8.0.0 alpha0+ master
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Keywords: needsDevEval, needsUXEval
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

If you import a textual-format file into Calc, e.g. a CSV, and mark some column
as text - the cells in that column should have a number format of Text.
Instead, they have a number format of General.

One of the results of this situation is that if you import a value such as, say
"01" (not quoted), it will show as "01", but if you edit it to a value of "02",
it will suddenly become just "2" - despite you have indicated you want to treat
these values as text, not numbers. If the relevant column had its cells' number
formatting as Text rather than General - that would not happen.
