The function has no bug. It works exactly as in other spreadsheet tools. The UI in Calc for this function does not need a change. Regarding documentation, even MS's support page does not list all the known "oddities"; that's why I posted an additional link in comment 1. The wiki page for this function might be the place to mention that this function has some oddities in some specific cases. Care should be taken not to use/post information that is not released with an adequate license, and not to make those oddities the center of the info provided.
