Semicolon as delimiter has been seen many times (in context of Danish data files as well as in more general contexts). But backslash is as strange a delimiter to me as it probably is to others. Perhaps someone at MS thought, "In languages where semicolon is already taken as the primary delimiter, what different sign can be used as delimiter, something that cannot be imagined as part of the data itself, at least in strict format..." and just chose backslash. But that is just a guess from my side. I agree with comment 7 that it for a function originally created by MS, it will give least problems to implement similarly - whatever we may think about \ as row delimiter. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
