I've got this bug comming up time and time again after a while of working with
documents, and I can't figure the reason why it happens. Right after I start
Libreoffice docking works (though I don't really need it, I'd rather have and
option for the user to never be able to undock the sidebar) both via mouse and
keyboard. My workflow usually requires many Calc windows to be opened,
sometimes of the same file for easier data entry/transfer. And after some time,
if I'm not careful, and undockk the thing, I then can't for the love of God put
it back the same way I can right after the app launches.
When it happened I tried unmaximizing and maximising the window again,
minimizing it, resizing it, but that does nothing. The program stops doing what
it is doing after restart - there is no docking frame. More over, the sidebar
behaves like a normal program window, where I can maximize it or use builtin
windows snap feature, like in the video I attatched. This does not happen when
the docking is working. I move the sidebar to the edge and although I can see
both frames, the docking one from LO and the snap frame from Windows, LO takes
priority and docks it.
However once that bug appears, it's windows that tiles the sidebar instead and
no docking frame from LO is ever visible.
I don't know, but it's so frustrating during heavy workflow, when this happens
and I have to close everything because that stupid sidebar pops off the side
and I have to move it around just to see data underneath it.
Thus I'd rather not have it, but of all the 3 UI paradigm IMO sidebar is the
most useful, or it would be of I could modify it and have it never undock.
