Richard,

I find it works best with either Windows95 and/or Mandrake 6.1 linux.
It will work with office 97 but with only 16M memory it will be very slow - 
if you can find a memory expansion unit I'd grab it.

Linux is fine but you may have problems trying to run memory hungry apps 
together - e.g. kde and netscape.
