The IBM is actually 10 SPD cheaper here in Singapore (IBM: 550 SPD, Toshiba:
560 SPD) so that's the one I was going to get as it has a bigger buffer than
the Toshiba and everything else seems to be the same.
However, I'm looking at...
http://www.storage.ibm.com/hardsoft/diskdrdl/travel/tr20gn.htm
...and UDMA is mentioned a lot whereas EIDE is not mentioned once, and
"Interface transfer rate (MB/sec)" is quoted as:-
- 66.6 Ultra-DMA mode 4
- 16.6 PIO mode
Does that mean it's not Libretto compatible?
Other quotes from the IBM page are:
<> The IBM Travelstar 20GN has the industry's highest shock
<> rating of 800 G/1 ms. as well as the fast Ultra-DMA
<> interface transfer rates reach as high as 66 MB/sec.
<> IBM Travelstar hard disk drive characteristics
<> Feature: Fast Ultra-DMA 66 2.5-inch mobile hard drives
<> Benefit: IBM Travelstar 32GH, 30GT, and 20GN all feature
<> high data transfer rates to help ensure the ultimate
<> performance possible
