Subject: 30 GB Harddisk in L110.
Hello,
I have tried installing the 30 GB HD by partitioning the first 8 GB in the
L110 and after that partitioning the rest in my desktop with Partition
Magic 5. The last 20 GB was divided in two 10 GB partitions. When placed
back in my Libretto the first 10 GB partition was recognised by Partition
Magic although the size of the drive was still reported to be 8 GB. The
last 10 GB was reported to be unallocated. Does this trick for some reason
only work up to 20 GB sized drives? If so why?
I then used the IBM disk manager (9.55) and formatted it with that. No
problems. I prefer not using a software disk manager though. Any suggestions?
And how can I (easily) check that the BIOS has automatically left space for
the hibernation file?
Thanks in advance.
Ben Muller.
