Hey folks, Recently I've been having problems trying to downloading MP3s from a the files area of a couple discussion groups over at Yahoo. Yeah... Yahoo itself is a big part of the problem... cuts me off if the download takes too long. But in testing download managers, Download Mage, GetRight and a few others... I found that instead of downloading the MP3, I'd download a tiny HTML file with the MP3 filename containing an error message saying that I wasn't signed into the group. Of course I was... but that's another matter. In another group, I had no problem downloading MP3s without the HTML problem, though the 6 - 10 file transfer abort from the Yahoo server was still there. I asked what kind of software people were using, and everyone who responded said they had newer versions of MSIE than my W98 IE v4.72.3110, basically IE 5.x versions. I had a few friends that a lot of problems with the versions of IE 5.x they tried setting up, so I've been avoiding it. But I'm wondering if anyone on the list has a version installed and working with no problems on their L50/L70 libs?
