Power control panel -> last tab -> enable hibernation. Toshiba control panel -> turn on Hibernate when Power button is pressed. That way, if you briefly push it to beep, it'll hibernate to disk. You'll need to setup win9x then install the Toshiba accessories/control panel downloads from www.csd.toshiba.com.
