OK I've just split the Portege pack and things aren't looking all that good :-/ The controller board seems to run the entire length of the pack so shifting the connector thats soldered to it will be a non-trivial task. For anyone who might be remotely interested, the pack has the same rating as the L100's extended pack (10.8V, 2.4AH), the internal circuit board and cells are made by Sony and carry the numbers 'MD-94V-0' and '1-665-536-11'. For a contribution to the battery number thread, the barcode on this pack is 971204CS ... seems like its not only the Libretto packs that have the dates encoded onto the battery eh? If anyone wants to have a look at the packs, I've got a pile of photos of varying quality at http://203.59.29.86/wwwTransfer/pa2441u/index.htm (its on MY side of a 56k dialup and the photos I've left reasonably big so if I find people actually DO want to have a look at it I might move it to some place that has a slightly faster connection ;-) At this stage though it looks like this pack will just be a source of cells for when my proper Libby pack dies ... *sigh* now to find a second PROPER L100 pack! - Raymond --- /~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ | | "Does fuzzy logic tickle?" | | ___ | "My HDD has no reverse.
