The whole package, cells, circuit board, in one piece. The PA2498U cells are a shade larger in diameter than the PA2503U cells, so break out the Dremel tool and carefully grind away the cell carriers inside the case halves to get the proper fit. The difficulty really is getting one's hands on dead (& cheap) 2503s and 2502s for the transplant.
