Don't forget that these figures are Mbit/s and that PCMCIA (16-bit) can do
about 20+Mbit/s (as tested by myself on a 16-bit 10/100 network card). So
I'd have thought that the transfer rate on USB1 (12Mbit/s) at least wouldn't
be too much of a problem, and that there must be some other reason for the
lack of 16-bit USB1 cards.
USB2 is a completely different matter, of course ;)
