I used to use FX-Link and zipped the files first to keep the long names.

Don't know how practical that'd be these day for recovering 4-5GB od data buried 3-4-5 directories deep... but it's an idea!


Now I usually pop the drive into a 2.5" usb caddy and do it that way.

USB... I'm not quite sure what a 'usb caddy' is... but at one point was wondering if there was any way to get a USB connection working in DOS on the L100 EPR. All the posts I could find in the archives said it wasn't possible. Did you find some way to do that Fran?
