Subject: How to share broadband with a home network ?

We've finally made the leap to broadband signing up for the Verizon $29.95/month deal with a year's commitment. But I see I have to order something for free from Verizon that will set up home networking to allow all systems to share the DSL connection.

I've set up basic networking with my desktop and a couple of my Librettos. But it seems broadband is going to require each system to have it's own unique IP address.

Has anyone gone through that process? I'm wondering if I can just go ahead and figure out how to do it manually, and not wait for Verison to send anything more. Or does Verizon have to set up IP addresses for each of the systems here at home before I can get them all online together?

Thanks for any input.

Matt
