And finally, i found some cases where your patchset made spacing a bit
worse. In making a minimal example i realized that your patch makes the
output worse when the music is stretched - when it's compressed, the output
is definitely better. See attached code.
Actually, i think that this is a manifestation of another spacing issue
that i've been investigating for some time. I'll try to make a more
detailed report in a few days...
I have also found some other problematic cases, but i don't have time to
analyze them and make minimal exaplmes now. I hope to do this in a few
days.
In general, thanks for working on this - in most cases the improvement
(like the ones i posted) is massive! :)
