I think we want to have some uneven spacing, when there is a good reason
for it. In the example above, the notes stay a little further apart when
they sit on the same staff space.
Anyone who wants even spacing when music is stretched/compressed would
set 'uniform-stretching' and maybe some other options described in
(http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/notation/proportional-notation)
