The only way out is to manually implement a sort of custom entity references in Director. Still as director is not unicode, you'll need to check it out. Best is to use a flash sprite for this.

Oh, and by the way. My scary client demands that the project is made for Shockwave 7 (yes..7) so using Flash to convert the characters is unfortunately out of the question... /KC From: Karl Cifius <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply To: Lingo programming discussion list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: <lingo-l> Convert characters? Sent: den 4 december 2004 01:27:35 Thank you for the answer. Is there any way around this? Like a "home made" character converter in Lingo? Since I can't change the xml-file the unicode characters need to be converted in the Shockwave movie. I appreciate the help. >From: roymeo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: Lingo programming discussion list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: Lingo programming discussion list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: Re: <lingo-l> Convert characters? >Date: Fri, 03 Dec 2004 18:43:01 -0500 > >sounds like you may be trying to read unicode characters.
