I am likewise unfamiliar with localized versions of Director. I was thinking of Director's ability to display multi-byte characters on systems with multi-byte language packs installed. For example, OSX 10.3 includes the option to install a number of Asian language packs. I've only ever worked with those.

Kind Regards,

Daniel

Ah, ok, I see. I have to admit that I don't know anything about director
on double-byte systems (chinese, japanese, korean). Maybe the script
could be extended in this direction, if I knew more about double-byte
strings in lingo. Do you know if it's possible to install such a
Director version on a single-byte OS (Win XP or OS X 10.3, both german),
or does the OS have to be double-byte as well?
