As I said, I personally don't mind putting the logo on my products, but I understand the branding issues, too. FWIW, I don't think you have to have it on the packaging *and* a splash screen. I think it just has to be on the packaging, CD, or a splash screen. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that just means a 4-second splash at the end of a presentation.
