Unless they've changed the licensing requirements with 8.5 (I'm on 8), you do have to have it on the splash screen as well as the packaging. QuickTime's distribution license's the same way. The only thing different about MWM from QT is that with MWM you only have to have the logo on the outermost packaging, whereas with QT you have to have it on all packaging.

I think it just has to be on the packaging, CD, or a splash screen. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that just means a 4-second splash at the end of a presentation.
