Two issues here:
1) OT: Quote only the essentials of the previous posts. I do not need 5*footers and
certainly neither does the digest-subscribers. It is not yet required to have a
drivers license for newsgroups and community lists, but by golly a few classes in
netiquette would do some people good. It is not only you.
2) If you get anyone to "just like that" write you this Xtra you ask for, could you
give me his/her email? I have a few Xtras I would like to have developed aswell. If
however (though most unlikely) you do _not_ get this Xtra written for you, couldn't
you explain more into details what it is in your existing Director setup that annoys
you? Explain what it is you wish to do? I don't think it's very seldom some of the
many people here have
a few tricks up their sleeves. Personally I think Tab's suggestion is the most
obvious. That is what I do myself. You have to consider that Lingo is not a linear
language as Basic or Comal with linenumbers. It's a language of multiple handlers and
objects in one big spaghetti. Sort of OOP by birth (I suppose).
I am not trying to start a flamewar by this post. I just thought your question begged
for a comment, and I ask again: What is it in particular you wish to do that the
already made suggestions cannot do for you?
