I don't see why not--you can use a .dcr as an Xtra.

Hmmm... there may be something there. I'm a big fan of OOP. I could see
putting general-purpose objects like a sprite manager into a dcr. That
might not make that much sense, though, because it's not the code that
takes the download time--it's the assets. There certainly would be a bit of
time in writing the support code--I would think it would have to be a
pretty substantial code library to make it worthwhile.
I could also see putting something like a standard splash screen or logo
movie into a dcr. Or, you could put your audio or video assets for a
substantial game into a dcr, and save download time for subsequent visits
to your site.
I like the idea--I'm about to start work on a sort of generic game
structure for our company. I'll let you know what I turn up.
