florian: you must admit- you were able to cut something off of the load with it, which was my point. i think we got our background application down to 30% but i wasn't directly involved with figuring out how to do it, it was delegated and a few months ago now. if i had the source code i would certainly supply it to the list. (sorry) the next time i talk to the guys i was working with at the time i'll get more info and supply the exact routine that worked for us.
also keep in mind- the background app was 120x200 and all it did was check a hardware key and a few v12 fields every 4 hours. so it wasn't really doing much to speak of. not sure how this would work in a presentation situation vs an app situation, or if it's applicible at all. --samn-- make no prisoners (charmakarmacat) -----Original Message----- From: Florian Bogeschdorfer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Tuesday, October 23, 2001 12:01 PM Subject: Re: <lingo-l> processorspeed/multitasking/multiuser >Nevertheless, the CPU usage and memory usage of Director projectors on >Windows is always horrifying.
