Genevieve,

If you are talking about built in Director buttons, and talking about
the caption that appears when you type on top of that button, then you
can use the text property of that member:

on mouseEnter me
  put sprite(spriteNum).member.text
end

If you are talking about buttons that you have created yourself, like
images or text members, then you will have to do thigs a bit
differently. Could you be more specific about what type of "buttons"
you are using and where you want this text to appear?

Hi, list

When buttons are created, I have specified its' states, added sounds
and
cursor changes.

How do I produce the button name on rollover i.e. when the mouse moves
over
the button, the name of the button e.g. exit or back appears?

Thanks

Genevieve
