Genevieve, If you are talking about built in Director buttons, and talking about the caption that appears when you type on top of that button, then you can use the text property of that member:
on mouseEnter me put sprite(spriteNum).member.text end If you are talking about buttons that you have created yourself, like images or text members, then you will have to do thigs a bit differently. Could you be more specific about what type of "buttons" you are using and where you want this text to appear?
