Genevieve, The reason why I ask is because the statement: "the name of the button e.g. exit or back appears?" is really rather vague. Do you want the caption *on* the button to change, or a tooltip effect like Pranav suggested, where the text hovers in a box above the button like those little yellow ALT tags in web browsers? There are a bunch of different places that the text can appear.
There are so many different/strange/wonderful things you can do with Lingo that something that seems painfully obvious in your situation could be interpereted many different ways in an email. Can you clue us in on some more details like: "I want the text written on the button to change" or "I want a little yellow tool-tip to appear containing some helpful text"? I am talking about buttons I have created myself. I'm sorry. Why do you ask : where do I want the text to appear? I place them in scenes in my movie. When there is a mouse rollover over the button, the words appear. What is the lingo command for this? Thanks.
