Is it an actual physical CD that is causing a problem, or is is just that whatever physical disc is in, the 8th attempt to run it is causing the problem?
Can you run the SAME disc 10 times and then pop in the 'bad' physical disc and have it cause problems? It COULD be that the CD layout is different on the 'bad' disc. Or it could be that something is filling up the memory on the machine and no matter how sure you are that a disc is 'good' the first several runs, running the 8th time off a 'good' disc is causing problems. I'm a little confused by your description, as to whether the discs are supposed to be different projects, or whether the discs could be complete clones of each other, so you might try running your question by us again with a little more explicit details (I don't care about it being for USAID, but actually knowing how many separate projects, burn sources, whether the 'identical' discs were burnt together or burnt on separate days with different people doing it and not from the same 'burn profile' or partition, etc.) roymeo At 03:19 PM 1/10/02 -0500, you wrote: >Evan - I believe all the machines are networked and thus I will try your >solution - question still remains though - why would it be fine on 7 >other CDs with identical content? > >Tanya > >Evan Adelman wrote: > > > > Is it an asset (avi, quicktime, Flash) that's stuttering or is it parts of > > your Director based animation?
