I was able to reproduce it on one of my machine - by slowing it down -
reducing memory. What I meant by 7 of 8 cds I meant 8 different projects
all with the same intro and only 1 does this. By all accounts the intro
sound, tempo, and duration is the same. 

It behaves very much like its all just too big - it plays directly off
the cd so the rate at which it feeds from the cd to the machine is jerky
- As if it needs to preload or something. It did the same thing when the
projector was copied to the machine itself.

The cds are simple - there are .aif files - internal and bitmaps
internal. There are some videos (QT) and some external sound but all of
that is working fine.
