If there are sufficient numbers, having an entire course run using the chinese or indian (or whatever) language could be worhtwhile. Alternatively, someone could be paid to make lecture written transcripts in all of the languages that students might be familiar with. Transcripts of tutorials could also be done, or in addition to a tutor there could be a multi-language person translator in each tutorial that can assist any of the international students with their understanding so they can participate in the tutorial. Or, specific additional tutorials to be run by a tutor in a particular language, could be scheduled. Presently students with disabilities can have special conditions during an exam which can for example be, to have a scribe to write for them. Why not have special conditions for international students to use another language for the session's communication, with a translator person provided by the university during the session for any languages that are required? I don't know whether the current position of universities requiring english is good enough for international students, and maybe universities would attract more international students if they better caterered for all of the possible languages.
