Try IPL'ing LINUX native on P/390 or R/390 and you'll instantly understand why the 3270 support outstrips the 3215 support. If you read back in the list archive (about two years ago) there was discussion-a-plenty on P/390, R/390 and 3270 vs 3215. The best thing is that it is reasonably easy to configure the kernel to go one way or the other. There isn't a XEDIT clone that relies on 3270. The Hessling Editor [the] (there's plenty of postings on that too) draws xedit pictures on a VT100. Regards, Dougie Lawson -- ITS Technical Support Enterprise/ASSIST IMS, DB2 & Linux
