Raymond,

Hmmm. I'm not at all sure about the ESCON part of that equation. I use UTS
Global's CLAW driver, but I do _not_ know if it is ESCON attached, or uses
some other connection type. I'll check with my VM folks to see if they
know.

One question about your setup. Will you be running on VM, or in an LPAR?
If you're running in an LPAR, getting the CLAW support bundled into your
installation system will be a bit of a pain, to say the least. I just went
through that with one of my colleagues in Australia. Not fun. If you're
running on VM, you can temporarily set up your network to use VM's TCP/IP
stack for network connectivity, and then download and install the CLAW
driver on a fully-functioning system. Much easier by far.

Subject: LINUX/390 Distributions and a TCPIP question

                LINUX/390 newbie here -

Is there a list/web site that would give me URLs for all of
the various distributions for downloading LINUX/390? (Marist, RedHat, etc,
etc.)

                Does Linux/390 currently support a CLAW/SCTC connection
(Cisco Router attached via an ESCON channel)?

Thanks in advance for you help.
