I was wondering what that doctor with the IBM badge was doing in our computer room

It would actually be pretty wrong to claim to support any code you don't have
source and reasonable control over. In the S/390 case its perhaps less of an
issue to a customer because you already assigned IBM control of your left
testicle when you bought into the S/390 platform.

There are ways of building that kind of support as a multi-way partnership
with all the relevant code authors. Thankfully you can play nethack/390
without OCO modules ;)
