Try more along the lines of a 80-90% pay cut, if you want to compete with the salaries that are being paid in India. This is the next wave of globalization, and will eventually lead to something of a leveling of living standards across the world. The US (and other "first world" countries) has had it good up until now, but I don't think there's anyway it can continue indefinitely.
