Well, that's the question, now, isn't it? Are they viable options? I'm
pretty sure Fedora will be around for a while, but I'm not at all sure about
Tao or White Box (both RHEL3 "clones.") The Fedora for S/390 is still in
the /development directories on the download server. I haven't tried to do
anything with it yet, so I don't know if it even works.

While I'm all for choice, I'm leery of putting links on the page that might
send people off into a dead-end effort. Hence, I wanted to hear from other
people what they think. If most people think they're worthwhile, I'm happy
to do it. If a significant number of people think it's largely untested and
risky, I might not. Or, I might just put warning signs around the ones that
are questionable.

I received at least one reply off-list on this. I'd prefer to keep the
discussion on the list so that all the opinions get aired in public. I
think that will be more likely to generate discussion that's useful to me
than otherwise.

Thanks,

Mark Post

If they are to be considered viable options, then I say list them. It's
about choice.
